Brainwave Entrainment
What is Brainwave Entrainment? Brainwave Entrainment simply put,
could be the use of binaural beat sound recordings to alter the state of
your brainwave frequencies to achieve various states of consciousness. Various states of consciousness include Beta, Alpha, Theta and Delta brainwave patterns. Beta comprises the brainwave patterns of normal awake consciousness where we are dealing with the outside world. It is our state of concentration, cognition, arousal and alertness but also of stress, anxiety, uneasiness, fear and disharmony. Help In Eliminating Stress and Emotional Dysfunction In Your Life
Everyone encounters stress, anxiety, fear, anger, depression, failure, grief, loss and a multitude of emotional charged issues in their lives. These can significantly impact your well-being, happiness, success and energy. I will describe a methodology that helps you enter a state of deep relaxation or meditation, reflection, enhanced focus or awareness and heightened creativity or problem solving. Things you will require: a quiet place; no distractions; comfortable chair, recliner, sofa or bed.
Step 1
Make sure you have plenty of time available, at least 10-30 minutes. If there are any tasks you absolutely need to accomplish first, do them first before this session. Otherwise if less urgent, write them down, so you can concentrate solely on this session and put them out of your mind for now.
Step2
Find a quiet place or room, with no distractions or activity in your field of view. Remove any clocks or watches from your view. If possible close curtains or shades on windows and use soft lighting or even candlelight.
Step 3
Take off your shoes, loosen your clothing and make yourself comfortable in a comfortable chair or recliner or you can lie down on a sofa or bed. Make sure the chair or recliner comfortably supports all parts of your body. If you prefer to lie down on a bed or sofa, prop your head up with pillows, so you are not lying down as you are when you are prepared to go to sleep.
Step 4
Place your arms and hands to your sides or on your lap, not touching each other. Keep your legs and feet spread apart closely but not touching or crossed. Now, look at a spot high up on the wall in front of you or on the ceiling if lying down. Just stare at the spot with relaxed eyes and focus.
Step Five
Now concentrate solely on your breathing. Listen to your breathing and feel your chest rising and falling with each breath. Take a big, deep breath in and hold it for a few moments. Then as you release it through your mouth, let it all out completely. Concentrate on and place all of your focus on your breathing, especially on the space between your inhaling and exhaling.
Step Six
Repeat Step 5, taking a deep breath, holding for a few moments and then exhaling completely through your mouth, focusing your mind on your breathing, especially on the space between inhaling and exhaling, and staring softly and relaxed on the spot on the wall or ceiling in front of you. Repeat this as many times as necessary until you are feeling very relaxed and your eyes close gently.
Step Seven
Just concentrate on being totally relaxed and comfortable and just "being". Nothing else matters for now. You are just here to relax and be comfortable and just enjoy being. If your mind wanders, as it might, you can bring your attention back to your breathing, repeating Step 5 if need be.
Step Eight
Now your mind should be empty and you are feeling totally relaxed and comfortable. Allow yourself to bring into your mind whatever situation was causing you the stress, anger, anxiety, fear, depression or other unchecked emotions. Knowing these emotions are simply things that your mind created, reacted to or made up a story about, you can easily choose to drop them, creating a different perspective or response in your mind.
Knowing this while still feeling calm and relaxed, ask yourself if you are willing to let these unwanted emotions go and choose to do it now.
Step Nine
Ask yourself where would you be and what would you prefer to be doing right to enjoy yourself and feel wonderful, if you did not have any unwanted emotions or unsolved problems holding you back. See or visualize a creative solution in your mind to whatever problem you might have or what you would be doing if the uncomfortable emotions were not interfering with your joy.
Step Ten
After visualizing your creative solution to your persistent problem or imagining how great you would be feeling if you did not have the unwanted emotion, now see yourself with that problem solved and the unwanted or unproductive emotions gone. See yourself thoroughly enjoying your life, your day and the present, with that problem solved and any interfering emotions gone. Allow yourself to visualize in your mind: feeling great; enjoying your day down to each and every moment; feeling whole and blessed; feeling confident and resourceful; feeling appreciative for all the good that is in your life and good things coming to you ahead.
